Claesson Koivisto Rune
The Swedish architectural partnership Claesson Koivisto Rune was founded by MŒrten
Claesson, Eero Koivisto and Ola Rune in Stockholm, in 1995. The office has since
become multi-disciplinary, practicing both architecture and design with equal emphasis.
Their work has earned numerous awards including “Designer of the Year 2011” (Elle
Interišr), “Best Domestic Design 2010” (Wallpaper) and “German Design Award (Gold)
2011” by the Federal Republic of Germany. Claesson Koivisto Rune were also honoured
to be the first Swedish architects ever to be exhibited in the international section of the
Venice Architecture Biennale (2004).
Completed architectural projects include: Sfera Building culture house in Kyoto, the
Swedish Ambassador’s residence in Berlin, and the OperakŠllaren gourmet restaurant.
Recently completed projects include Nobis Hotel Stockholm, Alberto Biani shops
Rome/Paris, …rsta Gallery Building. Current projects include several private houses in
USA, Uruguay and Sweden.
