Qrater – no need to zap :

If you like horse riding, you will most probably already have imagined yourself riding on the open plains as a true cowboy. This was exactly what Dirk Wynants had in mind when he designed Qrater. Inspired by the campfires around which cowboys gather at night to tell stories, he has tried to find a way to recreate this atmosphere in 21st century gardens. After all, hasn't fire always fascinated people? Not for nothing is a campfire sometimes called 'the television set of the jungle'...

Warm atmosphere guaranteed! :

Qrater is a campfire dish made of weathering steel, a type of steel that can be used in the garden as well as in open spaces. It gets rusty only on the surface, leaving the rest of the material intact. Qrater can consequently stay outdoors all year round. A small hole in the middle allows drainage of rain water or ashes to a smaller dish integrated in the galvanised steel pedestal. This pedestal also prevents heat damage to the surface below Qrater, as there is no direct contact between the dish and the ground.

The only thing left doing is lighting a fire and the result is pure magic: while keeping the company warm, the dancing flames also create an atmosphere nobody can resist.

Facts & figures :
· With its 1.45 m diameter Qrater allows up to 14 people to gather comfortably around the fire.
· With the supplied poker you can move the glowing ashes to the side of the dish.

Optional skewers and grills, held at the right position with a bracket system, allow you to easily grill yourself a snack above these ashes.
