The Storage cupboard programme by Arik Levy, which is compatible with all of Vitra’s office furniture systems, has a simple and logical construction. The cabinets and sideboards come in different widths and heights, can be combined and supplemented, and offer different kinds of storage spaces that are easy to configure, assemble, modify and disassemble. One critique of open space offices is often that they lack noise insulation. With this in mind, Vitra developed highly effective acoustic fronts, which have been proven to decrease noise levels in office spaces and therefore facilitate concentrated work.     Acoustics:
The new acoustic fronts of the hinged door and roller shutter cabinets in the Storage programme absorb disturbing noises. The perforated pattern, patented by Vitra due to its excellent noise insulating effect, is also attractive from a visual perspective and is available in eight different colours.
Variety:
The shelved, hinged door, pull-out and roller shutter cabinets in the Storage programme are available in widths of 80, 90 (the sideboards only), 100 and 120 cm. The cabinets in melamine soft light can be linked to each other vertically, horizontally and back-to-back. The fronts are made of perforated metal or melamine-coated particle board, while the roller shutters are plastic. Accessories such as whiteboards, screens and and organiser brackets can be attached to the back and side walls.       Storage Locker:
The Storage Locker facilitates non-territorial working: Employees who do not have individually assigned desks can come into the office and take their work materials out of these lockers. They can store their personal belongings in them and lock everything up securely using their own personal PIN code. This way they do not have to carry as much around with them and the desks stay tidy whenever they are not in use.
