Antonio Citterio Grand Repos and Repos stand in the tradition of the classic lounge chair, but have developed this concept further to reach a new level. With their generous padding and continuously adjustable sitting positions, these chairs fulfil almost all demands with respect to comfortable, relaxing seating.
The Italian designer and architect Antonio Citterio knows how to combine timeless elegance with unsurpassed comfort. He has worked with Vitra regularly for around 25 years and during this time has created a variety of designs – including several pioneering office chairs. After many years of experience in creating dynamic and healthy seating, he has now applied his expertise to the private living area, with Grand Repos as his premiere piece. Thanks to their biomechanical range of motion, Grand Repos and Repos adapt to all seating positions – from a reading to a reclining position. The angle of the seat and backrest change synchronously and the invisible mechanism integrated into the chair can be locked in any position. The wide armrests and the body-contoured backrest in the lumbar zone ensure pleasant sitting. And the additionally available classic ottoman or upholstered footrests that match the swivel chairs provide for optimal relaxation in a reclined position.
